UBC CERTIFICATE IN PRIMARY HEALTH CARE: team-based primary healthcare education
UBC is developing a masters program for collaborative practice management in response to "the Government of British Columbia has recently mandated the Minister of Health to prioritize the provision of team-based primary care in an organized structure that is delivered by formalized interprofessional teams."
Based on the 2019 announcement from the ministry of health, by 2021 the ministry of health is expecting on implementing 40 more collaborative primary care networks in the next 3 years.
And in response, UBC is developing a masters program centralized around collaborative practice management.
Sounds like an interesting career path with the ministry of health advocating for more primary collaborative practices in BC. After reading this UBC article, my remaining questions are which background disciplines would be best suited for this education and what roles would that set someone up for after graduation?
